about

"Women do not posess a taste for the abyss" a nineteenth century philosopher once said in answer to a question as to why there were no female explorers…. I beg to differ. ( See Isabelle Eberhardt for one...)

Recorded at the same session as four of Daves tracks with Mark Fitzgibbon on piano ,Dave on bass ,Stuart Perera on guitar and myself on drums and strings.

lyrics

Men say.....
Men say that we
We don't possess a taste for ,
for the abyss

The irresistable urge to jump...
into the void

Well I must be,
I must be a man,
as it calls out to me..
To dive ,into its depths,
25 leagues below middle C.

Men say.....
Men say that we
We don't possess a taste for ,
for the abyss

The ground opens up,
he follows you in,
dank and sweet,
the dark closes in...
what then..what now...whatever ?
